Eric's journey into bodywork began at a very early age when he began treating his family's knots and tight spots around the family room. In 1999, he completed an 1,100 hour core training program from The Colorado Springs Academy of Therapeutic Massage, a chiropractor owned and run institution that focused on clinical and sports applications of Massage Therapy.
After a few years of working in the spa industry, Eric knew he needed to return to his roots, adding more effective therapies to the feel-good services he provided for his spa clients. On the recommendation of a local teacher, he leveled up his practice through John Barnes' method of Myofascial Release. This opened up a whole new world to him, by allowing him to finally view the body, and the restrictions that inhibit it and cause pain, as a whole... all connected through the ground substance that holds the body together, the Fascial System.
Eric's study of Myofascial Release also revolutionized his touch by teaching him to apply his intuition to the body, sensing his way to release patterns in the tissues, rather than trying to force them. From there, Eric began to see how restrictions in the body followed it's movements, rather than limiting itself to individual muscles or muscle groups. This insight took on new strength and form during his study with Master Teacher, Pichest Boonthume in Hang Dong, Thailand. Since then, Thai Massage has dominated his practice, adding an entirely new dimension by bringing it to the floor, and putting more and better tools at his disposal.
Today, Eric practices from his office in the Lakewood area of Dallas, Texas.
